Whilst her father is still languishing in jail for pillaging the Delta State treasury during his reign as governor, Take, the first daughter of Chief James Ibori seems determined to follow her father’s political footsteps.

The dark-skinned mother of one is reportedly meeting with her father’s kinsmen and associates, political leaders in their Oghara ward and those who have the ears of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan as she prepares to represent Ethiope West in the state House of Assembly in 2015.

Aside their family’s popularity and fortune, Take is also counting on her father’s political godson nay successor, Uduaghan, to help her kick-start her political career. Typically, grassroots politicians have reportedly started grumbling that Take, a happening babe on the Lagos social scene, would be imposed on them. They contend that if she eventually got the ticket, it would be nepotism taken too far because apart from being just a political appendage by virtue of her father’s eight year reign as governor, Take is distant and aloof and has scant knowledge of local politics. But Take’s friends are past caring as they have started hailing her already as ‘Honourable’.
