EXCLUSIVE: DEATH OF OMO-ASAKE ON LAGOS ISLAND - THE INTRIGUES!

Omo Asake, on Saturday September 20th was said to be relaxing by Iga, the Lagos palace, when either perchance, per adventure, inadvertently or surreptitiously or otherwise, was hit by a bullet at pointblank! His death has claimed some victims, with palpable peace on Lagos Island.

Now lets take you on a bumpy ride of the fatal historical:

Recall that, Lamzatblog exclusively reported the shooting of Alhaji Abdul Azeez Otun, popularly known as Omo Asake after the PDP rally moved to Lagos Island from TBS past weekend as post marked. Expectedly, the Lagos state PDP arrow head, Minister Musiliu Obanikoro issued a rejoinder refuting the alleged involvement of PDP or its associates in the killing of the deceased.

Omo Ashake hailed from Ijebu Ode Ogun state while his mother is from the Olaotan Dosunmu ruling house in Lagos. He got his acronym due to his popularity on the Island. He is well loved and otherwise on the Island. There is no way of reciting the biography of Omo Asake without mentioning his erstwhile buddy, Abija, Rafiu Bashorun.

On the Island, both Omo Ashake and Abija are well known as land speculators under the sobriquet of 'Ajagun Gbale' before the bubble bursted between the two friends.

Lamzatblog learnt that with politics come easy money! The palpable camaraderie between Omo Asake and Abija was severed like a hot knife through butter by the bitter rivalry between APC and PDP on the Island. Omo Asake was known to have a soft spot for APC. Abija, also known as Igboho Eko, joined PDP recently through the link of Sunday Igboho from Ibadan Oyo state. Lamzatblog confirmed that Abija was reported to have met with President Jonathan at Aso rock at some point, through Sunday Igboho. This meeting with the president was like an opium for Abija. It gave him the needed imprimatur to bestride Lagos Island like a colossus.

Lamzatblog was informed that Omo Asake, on the fateful day was said to be relaxing by Iga, the Lagos palace, when either perchance, per adventure, inadvertently or surreptitiously or otherwise, was hit by a bullet at pointblank! His death has claimed some victims with palpable peace on the Island.

Lamzatblog is precluded from revealing headlong the whispers from the grapevine due to the ongoing police investigations but with the reaction of Musiliu Obanikoro, the minister, this is indeed another high profile murder case in Lagos state which if not handled with utmost care, may snowball into major ding dong on the Island.

May the souls of the dead rest in peace.
