Man Shot Dead In Peckham!

Police were called at around 10.30pm on Tuesday April 21 to reports of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found a critically injured male.

He was given first aid and rushed to a central London hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.

Detective Chief Inspector Will Reynolds of the Homicide and Major Crime Command leads the investigation and said: “At this early stage we believe that the victim was making his way into the estate by pedal cycle when he was confronted by two people who have shot him, stabbed him and left the scene on foot toward Sumner Road via a cut through from Cator Road.

“We know that local residents heard the shots and we are keen to speak with anyone who either witnessed the incident itself or saw the suspects fleeing the scene.”

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but police believe they know the identity of the deceased and have informed his family.

There have been no arrests and the investigation continues.
