A fire at a mosque in south London is being tackled by 70 firefighters, amid reports a huge part of the building is burning.
The ground and first floors of the Baitul Futuh Mosque in Morden, reported to be the largest in western Europe, are affected by the fire.
The London Fire Brigade said it was called at 12.06pm and it had 70 firefighters at the scene. The building has been safely evacuated, it is understood.
The fire brigade added the cause of the fire was not yet known.
