MANCHESTER-MAN DEMANDS TO BE DEPORTED FROM UK!

The man turned up at the town hall police counter in the city centre last night requesting to be taken back to Iran after a decade in the city

An immigrant who is in the UK illegally was arrested after walking into a police station and demanding to be deported – because he has had enough of living in Manchester.

The man turned up at the town hall police counter in the city centre last night requesting to be taken back to Iran after a decade in the city.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police then took to Twitter to tell people about the incident after dealing with the ‘very angry young man’.

The city centre division tweeted to its 42,000 followers: "Male arrested earlier at our front desk when he demanded to be returned home to Iran as he has had enough of Manchester after 10 years."

They then added: "Very angry young man, who has been here illegally last 10 years, strange incident."

But after being handed over to the police's immigration team the man has now been released, reports Manchester Evening News .

Today officers joked on Twitter: "Man arrested demanding deportation (fed up after 10 yrs in Manchester) may have to find own way home; was released after immigration liaison."

After the officer's tweets yesterday people took to Twitter to air their views on the immigrant’s dissatisfaction with Mancunian life.

Echoing this sentiment Juan Matalan posted: “"We've all been there."

Ryan Pitcher added: "I can see it now, some Iranian dude coming in, swinging his arms with a Manc-walk insisting he wants to "slide away".
