Condom shares slump after China calls off one-child policy

 The family planning restrictions were rolled out in 1979 due to fears about the country’s growing population.



Since the policy was scrapped the decision has already impacted the Chinese stock market.

Shares in a popular condom company have slumped – while baby-related firms such as those that make nappies, pushchairs and formula milk are soaring.

China’s communist leaders announced that married couples are now permitted to have two children.

The relaxation will lead to upwards of 3 million births, according to estimates
