Brixton shooting: Armed police dispatched to Tulse Hill

A non fatal shooting took place in Tulse Hill last night.



Armed police raced to Tulse Hill yesterday evening after locals heard gunshots and found a man shot in the street. 5 A shot was heard in the area around 7pm Sunday evening and emergency services were called to the scene. 

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said today: 

“Armed police attended and found a male in his twenties, suffering from what is believed to be a gunshot wound to the leg. “The man was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.” This morning traffic disturbance ensued as Brailsford Road and Brixton Water Lane remained cordoned off while experts examined the road. 

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information should call the Metropolitan Police on 101.
