Man held after sex attack on eight-year-old girl in Greggs

The 34-year-old from Bradford was detained on suspicion of sexual assault and later bailed, West Yorkshire Police said.

The attack happened shortly after 3.30pm on Friday February 12 when the girl was waiting with her younger brother in the seating area of Greggs, on The Headrow, in Leeds, while her mother paid at the counter.

A 34-year-old man from the Bradford area has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police said the incident had been "distressing" for the victim and her family.
