Fifteen Hurt in Triple Bus Crash in Parliament Square

Fifteen people have been injured after three buses and a van crashed in Parliament Square.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Victoria Street shortly after 2.30pm but luckily there were no serious injuries. Transport for London said all the injured were treated at the site of the crash.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a paramedic, four ambulances and the hazardous response team were sent to the scene. Tony Akers, TfL’s head of bus operations, said: “At 1435 today, three new Routemaster buses on routes 148, 211 and 24, operated by London United, Abellio, and Metroline respectively, and a van were involved in a collision at the junction of Parliament Square and Broad Sanctuary.” He said an investigation into the incident is under way.
