How To Live A Long Life!

The world’s oldest living person has died, aged 116.

Susannah Mushatt Jones passed away in New York City on Thursday. She was born in 1899 near Montgomery, Alabama, and was one of 11 siblings.

She worked as a nanny but later moved to New York to start a scholarship fund for young African-American women to go to college.

Ms Jones only became the world’s oldest person last year, after Misao Okawa died at the age of 117 in April 2015. But what are the secrets to living to such an impressive age?

Don’t worry, there’s a method for everyone… Lots of sleep, no alcohol Ms Jones said her longevity was down to lots of sleep and refraining from smoking and drinking alcohol.

Sushi The raw fish cuisine was recommended by Misao Okawa, who lived to the age of 117.

Oats and no men Scotland’s oldest woman, Jessie Gallan, swore by a bowl of hearty porridge.

Men on the other hand, not so much. She died at the age of 109.

Raw eggs If you can stomach them, they could be the secret to longevity. Emma Morano-Martinuzzi, 116-year-old, who lives in Italy, is now the world’s oldest living person, according to Gerontology Research Group. She credits her long life to eggs.
