Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: PRESS RELEASE(12)
Jockey: L HEWITSON - Trainer: Y BREMNER

PRESS RELEASE has shown promise in her two attempts but appeared to be in need of her fair comeback run in mixed company on the polytrack three weeks ago. That formline was franked when the 3rd placed entrant Tune The Scope won her subsequent outing and this improving daughter of Crusade should go well on her grass debut.

TOP BET
Race 2: VOICES OF LIGHT(8)
Jockey: G CHEYNE - Trainer: A GREEFF

VOICES OF LIGHT showed smart improvement in his second outing behind winners despite finding some traffic issues late in that six furlong contest. He was promoted into 3rd that day but should make further progress and will enjoy this minimum trip in a weak event.

Race 3: ZALIKA(1)
Jockey: L HEWITSON - Trainer: Y BREMNER

The improving ZALIKA should make amends after being desperately unlucky not to win her last seven furlong attempt on this track. The 4th (Bikini Model) and 5th (Young Hopeful) placed entrants have won subsequently to boost that formline and this bay daughter of Bold Silvano should easily handle the extra furlong.

Race 8: AVIEMORE(11)
Jockey: M YENI - Trainer: G SMITH

AVIEMORE continues to do well locally but cost himself victory when shifting his ground at a crucial stage of his last six furlong contest seven days ago. He was perhaps fortunate to retain 2nd spot after he bumped stablemate PICK AGAIN but the minimum trip should suit the four-year old much better and he can go one better. The latter is 3.5kgs out at the weights as he won't enjoy an apprentice claim but his experienced jockey should make a positive difference and the speedster should also prefer this five furlongs

VALUE BET
Race 6: NATIONAL PARK(8)
Jockey: R MUNGER - Trainer: S KOTZEN

The bay gelding NATIONAL PARK is surprisingly not the stable elect despite his fluent back-to-back c & d victories but the son of Gimmethegreenlight has a top jockey in the saddle and could give a great account of himself. He meets his latest rival FINLEY HILL on 3kgs better terms
