English Premier League football resumes on Saturday and we take a look at selected matches including Leicester City v Liverpool, Chelsea v Bournemouth, West Ham v Wolves and Manchester City v Newcastle.

Leicester v Liverpool
Match Result Betting
Leicester 6/1, Draw 15/4, Liverpool 9/20
After losing their opening match of the season 2-1 at Manchester United Leicester have chalked up back to back wins. They put themselves on the board with a 2-0 home win over Wolves despite Jamie Vardy picking up a second half red card and last weekend they came from behind to win 2-1 at Southampton thanks to goals from Gray and Maguire.

Liverpool had to work hard to see off a resolute and spirited Brighton side at Anfield last week. Salah scored the only goal of the game and goalkeeper Alisson made an excellent save to keep a third consecutive clean sheet. After wins at home to West Ham (4-0) and away at Palace (2-0) Liverpool top the log on goal difference ahead of Spurs, Chelsea and Watford who also have maximum points.
Liverpool won this fixture 3-2 last season and they also won the return at Anfield (2-1).

I fancy Liverpool will ind a way through Leicester more than once but I wouldn’t rule out a goal for the home side either and the away win in a game of 3 or more goals in total is the pick.

Bet: Matchbet + Totals, Liverpool win and over 2.5 at 9/10

Chelsea v Bournemouth
Match Result Betting
Chelsea 3/10, Draw 5/1, Bournemouth 33/4
Chelsea maintained their 100% record with a 2-1 win at Newcastle in Round 3. In a game which largely resembled an attack and defence training session Chelsea had to wait until the 76th minute for Hazard to open the scoring from the penalty spot. A rare Newcastle raid saw the Geordies hit back shortly after and an own goal in the 83rd minute saw Chelsea claim the points. Earlier in the season Chelsea won 3-0 at Huddersfield and 3-2 at home to Arsenal and they are one of 4 sides on maximum points.

Bournemouth remain unbeaten after a 2-2 draw at home to Everton last week. They came from 2-0 down to earn a point in a game where Everton were reduced to 10 men in the first half before Bournemouth also had a man sent off in the second. Bournemouth had started the campaign with a 2-0 home win over Cardiff and a come from behind 2-1 victory at West Ham in their only road trip so far

Bournemouth turned Chelsea over with a surprise 3-0 win in this fixture last season but they were beaten 1-0 by this opponent in an earlier home game in 2017/18.

Although Chelsea had to be very patient last week I reckon they have plenty of goals in them this season and I will go with them to register in both halves of the match.
Bet: Home Team To Score In Both Halves? (yes) at 8/10
West Ham v Wolves
Match Result Betting
West Ham 31/20, Draw 24/10 Wolves 37/20
West Ham are bottom of the standings and the only side yet to earn a point. Despite taking the lead through Arnautovic at Arsenal last week the Hammers eventually lost 3-1. Earlier in the campaign they also scored first through Arnautovic in a 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth and they began with a 4-0 hiding off Liverpool at Anfield.

Wolves held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw in a home fixture last week, their second point of the campaign after they shared 4 goals in another home fixture against Everton on the opening weekend. They rode their luck with the opening goal against City which should have been chalked off but they put in another excellent shift and they have been worth watching in the early stages of the campaign. They now go in search of a first point away from home having lost their only road trip so far 2-0 at Leicester where by all accounts they were unfortunate to come away empty handed.

Wolves should be learning by the week and they could be handful against a West Ham side that is already under pressure. I still prefer the goals markets though and 2-3 in total covers a number of scorelines I could see this game throwing out.

Bet: Total Goals – Aggregated. 2-3 at 9/10

Manchester City v Newcastle
Match Result Betting
Manchester City 1 / 8 Draw 17/2 Newcastle 23/1
City dropped points for the first time this season in the aforementioned 1-1 draw at Wolves last week. They are now 2 points off the pace and they return to home soil where their only other game this season saw them thrash Huddersfield 6-1 with Ag├╝ero helping himself to a hat trick. They have also won 2-0 at Arsenal this season and they now take on a Newcastle side who are finding it tough going.
Newcastle’s 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea last weekend leaves them with just the 1 point to show for their efforts so far. That point came away at Cardiff where they were reduced to 10 men in the second half but they still contrived to miss a penalty with the last kick of a game which finished 0-0. Newcastle began with a 2-1 home defeat to Spurs so 2 of their first 3 matches have come against top sides and life doesn’t get any easier this weekend.

City completed the double over Newcastle last season, winning 1-0 in the North east and 3-1 in Manchester. In their last 6 Premier League visits to City Newcastle have conceded a whopping 25 goals.

City ought to win this with some daylight and given there were 7 goals in their only other home game so far, over 3.5 provides the betting interest here.

Bet: Total goals, over 3.5 at 17/20
