Winning Form Best Bets
Race 1: DONA(7)
Race 5: QUID RIDES(3)

Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 1: DONA(7)
Jockey: T GOULD - Trainer: A GREEFF

The Greeff yard holds a decent hand in this opening contest with the pick of their raced charges undoubtedly being the in-form DONA who has drawn well at gate 3. The daughter of Sail From Seattle pushed the short-priced Cape visitor European Roller hard on this surface last month and she had the next placed entrant, the stable elect Domremy more than two lengths adrift of her.

Race 3: OPEN FIRE(8)
Jockey: R MUNGER- Trainer: Y BREMNER

OPEN FIRE expectedly battled over ten furlongs in just his second outing a week ago but the lightly raced three-year old had shown enough over this distance on debut prior to that and he should bounce straight back today. The son of Crusade could enjoy racing on this surface. It must be noted that he injured his mouth in the stalls seven days ago and that may have also contributed to his below-par run

Race 5: MULTI GOLD(6)
Jockey: L MXOTHWA - Trainer: S KOTZEN

MULTI GOLD kept his 100% track record intact with a courageous c & d triumph over seasoned campaigner QUID RIDES (1.5kgs better off) last month and the lightly raced chestnut son of Ideal World will be fitter today. He clearly escaped with the minimum two pound penalty and has much more to offer.

Jockey: C ZACKEY - Trainer: G SMITH

The day's topliner sees a smart field of eight entrants compete over a mile at handicap level where a close finish is expected. DAWNBREAKER faces a few rivals on unfavourable terms for his brilliant c & d Poly Challenge triumph in May but the galloping son of Trippi has improved since and he could again enjoy a soft lead here. Interestingly, his conditioner has teamed him up with the same jockey this time around

Race 4: BIG JAY'S(10)
Jockey: S FORTUNE - Trainer: E KAKNIS

This is a tricky low-key handicap over nine and a half furlongs but the value could lie with the veteran campaigner and track specialist BIG JAY'S. This seven-year old chestnut should have finished closer over shorter at novice level earlier this month but he meets the 4th (TUBULAR BELL) and 8th (STIR IT UP) placed entrants on extremely favourable terms and he will prefer this rise in trip on his peak showing
