14:10 - John Jenkins Memorial Claiming Stakes

Acrux comes into this on the back of some solid efforts in handicap company of late, but he is 10lb worse of with WITHERNSEA than if this was a handicap. Richard Fahey's 86-rated gelding has been struggling in some classy contests of late and could be using this as a confidence booster. Dandy Highwayman looks best of the rest on form and on official figures, but is engaged to run on Saturday, so Kody Ridge is another to note.

Watch out for: ACRUX (1)

14:40 - Smith Girlies EBF Novice Auction Stakes

Olivander and Siege look capable of building on their introductory fifth-placed finishes, but SMART ILLUSION ran a really solid race to be second over this track and trip last time and could be the answer here. If Mark Johnston's newcomer Eesha's Smile is of any serious ability then she could prove a danger to all in a race that lacks strength in depth.

Watch out for: EESHA'S SMILE (11)

15:15 - Covers33 For All Your Vinyl Needs Nursery

Packington Lane made all to land the spoils on Ladies' Day here and is interesting in this small field as he could be allowed to dominate again, Though PRINCESS POWER could be a tough nut to crack. Nigel Tinkler's filly completed a hat-trick at Newmarket last time and a 3lb rise for that win could be lenient. Top weight Rockin Roy and handicap debutant Three Card Trick are others to note.

Watch out for: PACKINGTON LANE (5)

15:50 - Beverley Middle Distance Series Final Round Handicap

ZIHAAM got within three-quarters of a length of success over course and distance last time and a 1lb rise for that effort is no inconvenience at a track that evidently suits Roger Fell's gelding. My Fantasea won well at Doncaster before finding things more difficult at Wolverhampton last time and the return to turf should suit, while Regal Mirage is a model of consistency and is likely to be on the premises.

Top Tip: ZIHAAM (3)
Watch out for: MY FANTASEA (2)

16:25 - Debbie Wilson Birthday Handicap

Bezos is interesting after finishing second at Ffos Las last time but has to prove he stays this far, unlike KANNAPOLIS. A winner over 10 furlongs on the Westwood when last tried here, he has held his form well at Haydock and York since and runs off the same mark as in those two recent races here. Mont Kinabalu won twice in the spring, including over 7f here, and is back down to the same mark as the latest of those victories.

Watch out for: BEZOS (8)

17:00 - Beverley Lions Handicap

Prancing Oscar won nicely at Hamilton but is up a furlong in distance and 5lb in the ratings, while Archie Perkins is up just 3lb for winning here, though he appeared to relish the step down to a mile that day. Mont Royal is interesting in a first-time visor, but preference is for ALLNITE, who was only headed late on over 1m4f at Thirsk last time and can take advantage of his weight-for-age allowance.

Top Tip: ALLNITE (12)
Watch out for: PRANCING OSCAR (1)

17:30 - Racing UK Handicap (Div 1)

POPPY JAG could hardly have been more impressive when easing to victory over 5f at Nottingham last time and though a 7lb rise won't make life easy, she could be worth sticking with while in this form. Roaring Rory ran well on his first start for seven months at Thirsk last time and a 2lb drop in the ratings looks generous, while One Boy was a solid enough second at Hamilton last time but runs off 3lb lower here.

Top Tip: POPPY JAG (7)
Watch out for: ROARING RORY (1)

18:00 - Racing UK Handicap (Div 2)

Tidal Surge won a selling handicap at Ripon from LIFE FOR RENT last time, but Tim Easterby's charge goes for revenge on 3lb better terms for a half-length defeat and has the advantage of being better drawn. Dandilion was only beaten a length at Leicester last time and has claims, while Glyder has been getting closer than his finishing positions have suggested of late.

Top Tip: LIFE FOR RENT (2)
Watch out for: TIDAL SURGE (3)
