14:20 - BMW/Mini Cooper Norwich Apprentice Handicap

Lunar Deity found only one too strong when attempting to complete a double in the space of a fortnight here and has become very consistent, but TYRSAL wasn't that far away in fifth on the first of those runs and can make up the ground in a race he won in 2015 and 2016. Sussex Girl was third as favourite in Lunar Deity's C&D race and probably performed to about the same level at Newmarket afterwards.

Top Tip: TYRSAL (7)
Watch out for: LUNAR DEITY (2)

14:50 - Peter Claringbold 65th Birthday Handicap

COMMANDER COLE took a step back in the right direction when showing great determination to prevail in a head-bobbing Doncaster finish, and he denied a progressive rival on that occasion so a 4lb rise may underestimate the merit of the performance. Another Eclipse was a couple of lengths away in third on Town Moor but was also down to appear at Goodwood on Saturday. Bless Him has taken in some really competitive handicaps this campaign and this may not be as testing.

Watch out for: BLESS HIM (4)

15:25 - British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes (Plus 10)

No Way Jose was a worthy winner on the Polytack at Lingfield, and Dawn Affair's Windsor second showed that she has a bright future, but they bump into some very interesting newcomers. Kingman filly Mulan cost 300,000 euros, while Quasar wasn't much cheaper, but the vote goes to MUBTASIMAH. William Haggas' Cheveley Park Stakes entry fetched 160,000gns as a yearling and is bred more along speed lines than the other two.

Watch out for: MULAN (9)

16:00 - Burlington Palm Hotel Of Great Yarmouth Nursery

It is surprising that MENDOZA is still a maiden, given he made the frame in the Woodcote on his second appearance, but the step into handicap company could be just what he needs to get his head in front, and a mark of 79 seems workable. Carrie's Vision hasn't lived up to early expectations either, but the application of cheekpieces could spark a revival in her fortunes. Artistic Rifles ran with credit in a hot Glorious Goodwood nursery, and Autumn Splendour is interesting too.

Top Tip: MENDOZA (2)
Watch out for: CARRIE'S VISION (6)

16:35 - Grosvenor Casino Of Great Yarmouth Handicap

DAIRA PRINCE's hat-trick bid fell short in the Coral Charge on Sandown's Eclipse card, and he faded tamely to beat just two opponents home. That can't have been his true running, however, and he can resume winning ways. Balgair went closer to completing a three-timer when finding only one too good at Newmarket, and he remains on an upward curve. Bint Dandy sprung a 20/1 surprise last time and must be considered closely.

Watch out for: BALGAIR (7)

17:10 - Racing Welfare Handicap

SPANISH CITY came agonisingly close to lifting the Bunbury Cup and then ran another cracker in the International at Ascot, finishing less than two lengths from the winner in sixth. He has one of those big handicaps in him, and can take this en route to something like the Ayr Gold Cup. Los Camachos is holding his form really well and competes off the same mark as when third at Newbury. Colonel Frank is another reliable customer but this comes only five days on from his C&D second.

Watch out for: LOS CAMACHOS (5)

17:40 - Eastern Festival At Yarmouth Racecourse Handicap

NICK VEDDER produced a series of commendable efforts in defeat so certainly wasn't winning out of turn at Doncaster last week, and he is up just 2lb so is fancied to follow up. Kraka made a successful start to life with Christine Dunnett over 6f here, and he only got up close home so the extra furlong will be in his favour. Spinart was below par at Kempton on Wednesday but could be a different proposition now back on turf.

Top Tip: NICK VEDDER (1)
Watch out for: KRAKA (5)
