11:25 - Royal Horse Maiden Plate (F & M)

STRAW RUM makes most appeal of those with form. Stable companions FEE FI FOE FUM and INDI ANNA should improve with experience so could feature. SACRED STORY showed promise in a KZN Barrier Trial and could confirm on local debut. MORE THAN A DIME and SILVER DAZZLE are newcomers to take note of, as are Australian-bred first-timers MUSHI STEREK and WALDORF ASTORIA.

Top Tip: SACRED STORY (13)
Watch out for: MUSHI STEREK (12)

12:05 - Woodhill Racing ? The Wonderful Wintle Express Maiden Plate

GIMMETHERAIN has bumped two useful sorts in both starts, finishing 2nd on each occasion. He should enjoy this stiff 1200m and with improvement can go one better. NORTHERN SPY ran well on debut over the course and distance and can pose a threat with natural improvement expected. Newcomers DUC D'ORANGE, MISHEGOSS and VARDY warrant respect. Watch the betting!

Watch out for: GIMMETHERAIN (6)

12:45 - Baker McVeigh Maiden Plate

Tricky. SPY ran his best race over track and trip so could enjoy returning in his peak outing. DUBULA has ability and could run well fresh after gelding, although may need further in time. DRAGON POWER has form and fitness to contest the outcome. Stable mates BELGARION and NEXUS are bred to be useful, as are POP THE CORKS and Silvano newcomer SILVER PLAINS. Watch the betting!

Top Tip: SPY (1)
Watch out for: DRAGON POWER (3)

13:20 - South African Association Of Professional Farriers Maiden Plate (3-year-olds)

Open. RETRO EFFECT was positively ridden from a wide draw last time, when finishing ahead of SENATLA. Both should improve for those outings but the latter could turn the tables with racing experience. CASH CALL and CARLTON HEIGHTS went close in recent starts and should be competitive again. VFORVICTORY cost a hefty sum but is bred to be special and could get a look in too.

Top Tip: CASH CALL (1)
Watch out for: RETRO EFFECT (2)

13:50 - Vaderlandscherietvlei & Ds Farrier Fm 80 Handicap (F & M)

Open. HEMERO only wins over this trip and was an eye-catching 5th in a Grade 3 over shorter last time. She will have more to offer over this trip and at this level. STRAWBERRY WINE is weighted to confirm the form of meetings with PERFECTPROPORTIONS and OLOYE. The latter is also held on these terms by TRAVEL IN STYLE. Last-start winner LEISURE TRIP is capable of following up.

Watch out for: HEMERO (4)

14:25 - Drillco Mr 68 Handicap

SAILING LIZARD has most scope for improvement and after proving that he is capable over this trip could be good enough to follow up on handicap debut. JUDDERING ANGEL is as consistent as the day is long and should give another competitive account of himself. WOODLAND'S FOREST, LINE EDITOR and PARISIAN GOLD may need further to be seen at their best. FLYING RYAN has claims too.

Watch out for: JUDDERING ANGEL (3)

15:00 - Nichola Mohr Dressage & Cape Vet Fm 68 Handicap (F & M)

The speed will be on. CAPTAIN'S TREASURE and ROYAL CHIAN will feature prominently for a long way and could prove hard to peg back under light weights. PIPPIELANGKOUS will enjoy racing back up the straight but the same could also be said of IKEBANA who is better than a disappointing last start suggests. GIMME KATRINA will be running at the leaders and can stake a claim late on.

Top Tip: IKEBANA (2)
Watch out for: PIPPIELANGKOUS (1)

15:35 - Equifeeds Mr 68 Handicap

BESTDAY OF MYLIFE showed an impressive turn of foot when winning at Durbanville last time and, while he may want further in time, should enjoy this stiff 1200m with natural improvement to come. RED RASCAL bounced back to form when finishing ahead of both CAPTAINOFTHESEA and READY TO RUMBLE. All three have earning potential here, as do versatile JAY ROCK and NORTHERN ROUTE.

Watch out for: CAPTAINOFTHESEA (4)
