Race 5: CHATUCHAK(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 1: VIA SALARIA(16)
Jockey: S Veale - Trainer: D Drier

The Drier inmate VIA SALARIA is obviously highly regarded by his top conditioner and the son of Trippi produced a high quality debut showing on this course when heavily supported a fortnight ago. He stayed on well for 2nd over the five furlongs that day but would have come on appreciably from the experience and should make natural progress over the extra furlong

Race 2: HEMERO(6)
Jockey: D Dillon - Trainer: MJ Robinson

Just half a dozen entrants head to post for this mile handicap where the improving HEMERO is a strong first choice. The daughter of Thomas Crown produced a smart finish to beat lesser rivals with a bit to spare over this track & trip recently and she can defy the resultant three pound hike. She has no issues raising her game as was evident from her feature effort in her penultimate run

Race 5: CHATUCHAK(1)
Jockey: B Fayd'Herbe - Trainer: W Nel

The top weight CHATUCHAK posted an eye-catching last mile start under a similar mass despite a wide draw where blinkers seemed to have a positive effect and the well-bred bay gelding has his peak run today. This slight drop in distance should suit him perfectly and he holds strong claims in this line- up

Jockey: B Fayd'Herbe - Trainer: MJ Robinson

SECRET DEPTHS is a fast improving three-year old filly with smart form and she appears an early Guineas candidate. She has acquitted herself extremely well in open handicap company and is bred to relish the mile. Of course she renews her rivalry with the hat-trick seeking four-year old GRANDIFLORA who is 2.5kgs worse off following the three pound penalty. She is drawn best of all though and should still be a major threat

Jockey: D Dillon - Trainer: MJ Robinson

ELUSIVE VICTOR has displayed decent credentials in his short career and he ran on well for 3rd in a competitive seven furlong contest a fortnight ago. The mile should suit him perfectly though he will be seriously tested from his wide draw
