GG TIPS FOR GREYVILLE BOXING DAY

Winning Form Best Bets
Race 4: CANADIAN BOLT(2)
Race 7: ARIANOS SHADOW(11)
Race 10: PLAY THE NIGHT(7)
Race 12: AUTUMN IN SEATTLE(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 5: THANKSGIVING(1)
Jockey: M Khan - Trainer: D Howells

The Howells inmate THANKSGIVING expectedly raised his game in a Highveld feature last time and the highly rated son of Dynasty still has plenty more to offer. He drops considerably in class in his first start of the summer and should take a power of beating despite deservedly shouldering top weight on his handicap debut

Race 6: ARCTICA(4)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: MG Azzie

The Highveld visitor ARCTICA has enjoyed a great season to date and he acquitted himself really well in the Summer Cup despite the ten furlongs being slightly beyond his reach. The six-year old has been excellently placed in this Listed Handicap and hardly surprisingly shrewd jockey Marcus has secured the mount on the best drawn entrant whose racing style will fit in perfectly on this track

TOP BET FOR TODAY
Race 7: ARIANOS SHADOW(11)
Jockey: M Yeni - Trainer: Y Govender

The day's topliner is another highly competitive affair but the well placed three-year old entrant ARIANOS SHADOW is a progressive daughter of Querari who could give her older rivals a galloping lesson at the weights. The bay filly may have just needed her decent comeback run ten days ago and she had a smashing penultimate triumph over this c & d, the formline of which was lifted when the 4th placed entrant Second Request claimed that same position in the Cape Fillies Guineas recently

Race 8: EXCLUSIVE QUANTITY(8)
Jockey: M Yeni - Trainer: A Rivalland

The lightweight EXCLUSIVE QUANTITY has improved smartly since the gelding and he ran on strongly for 2nd on his handicap debut despite racing wide over this c & d two weeks ago. He was expectedly raised two pounds in his merit rating but the fast progressing son of Elusive Quality clearly has more to give and he should be heavily involved in the finish despite the obvious rise in class

VALUE BET FOR TODAY
Race 4: JET LIGNITE(8)
Jockey: S Veale - Trainer: A Wright

The Sharpe's Eagle formline of last month should hold up well in this competitive maiden mile. The bay son of Captain Al, JET LIGNITE caught the eye when he stayed on for 4th on debut in that seven furlong event on the polytrack and he should make natural improvement with the mile expected to suit him perfectly. Of course the smart CANADIAN BOLT fared best of all when he stayed on for 2nd in that event in his comeback run and he will strip fitter
