11:00 AM - Anthonij Rupert Wyne Work Riders' Maiden Plate

Day 2 of the sophisticated LQP Festival begins with a competitive work riders' maiden. Improving AUGUSTINA will be winning soon and is likely to be in the firing line, though EMPIRE GLORY and INERTIA shouldn't be far off that rival. DISMANTLE THE SUN will improve so could pose a bigger threat. Fillies WHAT A RED, SPIRIT FESTIVAL and TRAP QUEEN have claims with a sex allowance.

Top Tip: AUGUSTINA (1)
Watch out for: DISMANTLE THE SUN (6)
211:35 AM - Tattersalls Juvenile Plate (Fillies)

Tricky 2yo event to start the exotics with debut winners CHILLY WINTER and MISS HONEY conceding weight. The latter was ridden to victory by stable jockey Domeyer who now partners well-related debutante VANDAH'S SPIRIT which suggests a forward showing is expected from that newcomer. CYBER BLOSSOM, DUCHESSORCORNWALL and MON CHERIE will be competitive if improving with experience.

Watch out for: CHILLY WINTER (1)
312:10 PM - Franschhoek Motor Museum Maiden Plate

Good race. Both VIA SALARIA (with blinkers on) and MASTER OF SPAIN have the form to feature and should not be maidens for long, but RIVER THAMES looked a winner in waiting in a good race last time and on that evidence should open his account. GG'S DYNASTY and POP THE CORKS (from a good draw) will be competitive. HEAD BOY and SAINT WEST will improve so could get a look in too.

Top Tip: G G'S DYNASTY (4)
Watch out for: RIVER THAMES (3)
412:45 PM - BMW Politician Stakes (Grade 3) (3 Year Olds)

Traditional Cape Derby trial. TWIST OF FATE should be competitive on these terms but concedes weight trying 1800m so is worth opposing. HERODOTUS may turn the tables on these terms. Both Snaith and Crawford yards are well represented but the former's trio have the edge with stable elect BUNKER HUNT fancied to go close ahead of KNIGHTS TEMPLAR and unbeaten BELGARION. Top race!

Top Tip: BUNKER HUNT (2)
Watch out for: TWIST OF FATE (1)
51:20 PM - Glorious Goodwood Peninsula Handicap (Grade 2)

Grade 1 winner EYES WIDE OPEN could improve with blinkers fitted for the first time but PLATINUM PRINCE, ahead of that rival on his reappearance, is weighted to confirm recent form. DOUBLEMINT appears the pick of the Snaith-trained runners on riding arrangements but stablemates ELUSIVE SILVA and MAGNIFICENT SEVEN aren't without a chance. KAMPALA CAMPARI has earning potential.

Watch out for: PLATINUM PRINCE (4)
61:55 PM - Cartier Paddock Stakes (WFA) (Grade 1) (Fillies & Mares)

Smashing contest. LADY IN BLACK renews rivalry with OH SUSANNA having lowered the colours of the latter in a recent meeting. Both would've come on since but the tables could be turned over this trip. There will be little between FRESNAYE and MIYABI GOLD on these terms, both can make their presence felt. CASCAPEDIA, BRAVE MOVE and HASHTAGYOLO are capable of getting a look in too

Top Tip: OH SUSANNA (5)
Watch out for: LADY IN BLACK (6)
72:35 PM - L'Ormarins Queen's Plate (WFA) (Grade 1)

A race for the ages. RAINBOW BRIDGE was touched off in a four-way finish behind UNDERCOVER AGENT and DO IT AGAIN over course and distance last time but could make amends. BUFFALO BILL CODY, SOQRAT and LEGAL EAGLE defend unbeaten records over 1600m but preference is for the latter who will equal Pocket Power's record with a 4th consecutive Queen's Plate win. Respect SNOWDANCE

Watch out for: LEGAL EAGLE (1)
83:15 PM - Heineken Chairman's Cup (Grade 3)

STRATHDON has form over this trip at a good level but could find it tough conceding weight to GIMME ONE NIGHT (7,5kg) and WOODLAND'S FOREST (9kg) a bridge too far. The latter is particularly well in here having found form and consistency with blinkers on. WALTER SMOOTHIE stays well so warrants respect, as do PACIFIC CHESTNUT and consistent mares SISTER SOOZIE and ZANADU.

Top Tip: STRATHDON (1)
Watch out for: WALTER SMOOTHIE (2)
93:50 PM - Cape Of Good Hope Mr 72 Handicap

Open race dominated by a progressive 3yo brigade. Last-start maiden winners NAO FAZ MAL and LADDER MAN have more to offer so should make their presence felt, but preference is for VIKRAM who is still learning his trade and improving after gelding. GREEN JACKET and PRICELESS RULER have the form to feature, although the same could also be said of SHERWOOD FOREST and GREEN JACKET

Top Tip: LADDER MAN (6)
Watch out for: VIKRAM (8)
104:25 PM - Skyy Vodka Mr 90 Handicap

Wide open. VASCOSTREETTRACTOR has recaptured form over this trip and on recent evidence should go well at generous odds. Stablemates NASTY HARRY, BWANA and TRIPPI'S EXPRESS have the form to be competitive too. CAPTAINOFTHESEA prefers sprinting but CLOUDED HILL and CLIPPER CAPTAIN are also capable. Include HOOVE OF THUNDER, METORITE and BERNIE in Quartet MAXIPOOL calculations.

Top Tip: BWANA (6)
Watch out for: TRIPPI'S EXPRESS (11)
