Winning Form Best Bets
Race 1: SUN UP(4)

Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 2: MARCH MUSIC(3)
Jockey: R Munger - Trainer: Y Bremner

A cracking renewal of the Breeders Guineas Plate for fillies despite just a quintet of entrants. The exciting MARCH MUSIC smashed her male counterparts despite being troubled by a loose horse over this c & d last Friday and she renews her fierce rivalry with the best weighted entrant KLEVER KATHY and the high quality MADAME SPEAKER.

Race 3: BIG FISH(3)
Jockey: B Fayd'Herbe - Trainer:C Bass Robinson

The Cape visitor BIG FISH has kept his form well with the aid of blinkers and he should enjoy racing on this galloping circuit on local debut. LITTLE DRUMMER BOY did just that when he performed above expectations in the 'Mother City' in a far stronger line-up on Met Day last month and provided the travelling didn't get to the Spies inmate, he should be a lively contender.

Race 7: CALLA LILY(1)
Jockey: B Fayd'Herbe - Trainer: Y Bremner

The grey gelding CALLA LILY has continued his progress despite returning from a 20 week break and he ran on well for 2nd in a stronger handicap in the 'Mother City' last time out. The resultant nine week absence would have helped him overcome the arduous journey. His stablemate FORT WINTER is an injury plagued four-year old who has gradually made up for lost time and he kept on well to beat slightly stronger rivals over this c & d two weeks ago. He was kindly raised just the minimum two pounds but his unfavourable draw is a concern

Jockey: L Mxothwa - Trainer: S Kotzen

ELUSIVE STRIKE returned to form when she ran on strongly late for a close 2nd over this c & d on local debut and of course the 3rd placed entrant Horse Haizi easily beat SHEPARD'S DELIGHT next time out. The former Highveld resident was upped two pounds for her exertions but she is favourably drawn and merits healthy respect. AMAJORY is another previous Gauteng campaigner and this chestnut filly has acquitted herself extremely well in male company in her last three starts on the polytrack. She is back facing her own sex this time around though her unfavourable stallgate is a worry

Race 9: WATSONIA(2)
Jockey: C Maujean - Trainer: T Laing

The Greeff yard holds a strong hand in this low-key fillies and mares sprint handicap where WATSONIA can reverse the form of her last run with stablemate DAME COMMANDER and BUSHY PARK on her peak effort from a favourable gate. Of course DAME COMMANDER fought back well to beat the latter by just over one length over this c & d that day and the top weight now gets equipped with blinkers.
