TRAINER COMMENTS :

RACE 1 :

1st four selections

7  /  2  /  5  /  6

• GAVIN SMITH -  Numbers 2 and 4 -  GLOBAL DRUMMER & LOVE POTION :
Global Drummer is a nice type and will be right there. Love Potion is
speedy, working well and will be thereabouts.

• ALAN GREEFF -  Numbers 7 and 9 -  WINTER VACATION & CIANNA : Winter
Vacation has a good chance if not too green in the running. Hoping for
improvement from Cianna.

MONTANA TURNER -  Numbers 8 and 10 -  ZA ZOO & SWEET SPRING : I am
expecting nice runs from both. Za Zoo is a nice colt, he may be green
but is showing pace at home. Sweet Swing is a smart filly, she is very
professional back home not expected to be green and will be doing her
best work late.

JUAN NEL -  Number 5 -  PRIVATE INITIATIVE : Private Initiative is a
really good sand horse and if he brings his work to the course he will
be involved in the shake up.

TARA LAING -  Number 6 -  WANGAN MIDNIGHT : He would be better over
further, he is bred to go a mile but he is not without a chance.

RACE 2 :

1st four selection

6  /  2  /  1  /  8

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE -  Number 2 -  DIVINE LAW : He is well and he’ll run
a big race.

• TARA LAING -  Number 6 -  REAL RASCAL : He ran very well on debut
and must have a good chance.

JACQUES STRYDOM -  Number 9 -  QUEEN NITOCRIS : She could need this.

ALAN GREEFF -  Number 1 -  ANDREA : He’s always thereabouts and always
lines up with a chance.

GAVIN SMITH -  Numbers 4 and 8 -  CASSIMBO & GOOD TIMES ROLL :
Cassimbo is expected to improve. Good Times Roll I always thereabouts.

RACE 3 :

1st four selections

2  /  5  /  3  /  1

• ALAN GREEFF -  Numbers 3, 5 and 7 -  OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR, BRANDINA &
STOPTHINKINGOFME : Outlandos D’Amour and Brandina have an each way
chance. Stopthinkingofme is up in class and out at the weights but she
is very honest, in good form and can earn.

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE -  Number 6 -   HORSE HAIZI : She will appreciate
the four kilo claim and will run well.

GAVIN SMITH -  Number 4 -  KLEVER KATHY : This is short for her and
she will need it.

RACE 4 :

1st four selections

1  /  2  /  5  /  4

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE -  Number 4 -  LORD BALMORAL : He is well, this is a
tough little field but he has a place chance.

• ALAN GREEFF -  Number 5 -  BOLD COAST : He has his first run for the
yard, the field is competitive, he could place.

GAVIN SMITH -  Number 7 -  POMACEOUS : He has his first run back off a
break and should need the run.

GRANT PADDOCK -  Number 3 -  ALWAHSH : Some useful runners and he will
need to improve, place chance.

RACE 5 :

1st four selections

1  /  3  /  10  /  9

• ALAN GREEFF -  Numbers 1, 3, 8 and 9 -  AFRICAN CHIME, MENDOCINO,
PRINCESS KALISI & GREAT ACHIEVEMENT : African Chime is unbeaten on
grass and back on the surface she has a winning chance. Mendocino
could just need this off a lengthy break but she will run well if she
brings her work. Princess Kalisi has her post maiden run and is up in
class.

• GLEN KOTZEN (comments made prior to travel) -  Number 10 -
CONTENTED QUEEN : She is a filly I have always rated. She went wrong
unfortunately but she came back to herself to win last time out and
this does look the right type of race for her to have a chance at
winning again.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE -  Number 11 -  AFLEET FLYER : The claim four kilos
will help, she had nothing in her favour in her last and can do better
so  I am hoping for improvement.

GAVIN SMITH -  Numbers 6, 12 and 14 -  GET YOUR GROVE ON, GREEN CAVIAR
& FLAME UP : Get you Grove On has placed over track and trip, she is
working well. Green Caviar has her first run for the yard. Flame Up
ran a decent last over course and distance and can be there again.

TARA LAING -  Number 7 -  BEYOND TEMTATION : She ran a very good post
maiden over 1400m last time out. She has won over 1200m though and is
not without a chance.

RACE 6 :

1st four selections

10  /  3  /  2  /  4

• CANDICE BASS-ROBINSON (comments made prior to travel) -  Number 3 -
SACRED ARROW : He is a really nice. He is at his best over 1400m, but
with a patient ride he should be competitive and does have a good
chance.

• GLEN KOTZEN (comments made prior to travel) -  Number 10 -  DUC ‘D
ORANGE : I couldn’t have him any better and a big run is expected.

GAVIN SMITH -  Number 1 -  THE HIGHWAY MAN : He is working well and
has a quartet chance.

ALAN GREEFF -  Number 5 -  KIMBERLEY STAR : He could be outclassed in
a tough line up and I’d be happy to see him place.

TARA LAING -  Number   BOLD VIKING : It is a very strong field,
hopefully he has a quartet chance.

SHARON KOTZEN -  Number    LETS PLAY BALL : This is a tough race for
him, not only the competitive company, but also that he is best suited
on Poly over this trip and is under sufferance. Nevertheless, he is
drawn well, is a very honest chap and having needed his last will be
fitter here.

RACE 7 :

1st four selections

6  /  1  /  3  /  4

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE -  Numbers 1 and 8 -  BELL TOWER & SALUBRIOUS : Bell
Tower could find this sharp but she is in good form and will run well.
Salubrious would prefer further but she ran a fair last over 1400m
despite a bad start and finished well, so both can run well with a bit
of luck.

• TARA LAING -  Number 6 -  BEETHOVEN : He tries the 1400m, we do
think this will be the right distance for him and he has big chance.

SHARON KOTZEN -  Number 10 -  SHOOTING STAR : We are hoping for
improvement, he must do more.

GAVIN SMITH -  Numbers 2 and 9 -  BORN A BULLY & WILDCAT : Born A
Bully enjoys track and trip and has a quartet chance. Wildcat is
expected to improve.

JACQUES STRYDOM -  Numbers 4 and 11 -  MYVIEW & CHESTNUT WILD : Myview
could need this off a break but he is working very well. Hoping for
improvement from Chestnut Wild who seems to be losing form.

ALAN GREEFF -  Number 5 -  BERNARDO : He must improve.

RACE 8 :

1st four selections

4  /  6  /  1  /  2

• SHARON KOTZEN -  Number 1 -  MISTRESS OF MEANS : Her recent runs are
best disregarded, she is much better suited to the 1400m on grass,
she is a better horse on turf. Though drawn wide, a very good run is
expected.

• ALAN GREEFF -  Numbers 4 and 6 -  BLACK GARDENIA & LADYSMITH : Black
Gardenia is knocking on the door and has a winning chance. Ladysmith
is never far back and can find the frame.

MIKE STEWART (comments made prior to travel) -  Number 8 -  CELTIC
CHARM : She’s in with a decent shout, it is a pity about the draw but
she does have the gate speed to overcome it and she’s in with a shout.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE  -  Numbers 10 and 13 -  NEVERLETUGO & LADY LIVIA :
Neverletugo could prefer Poly. Lady Livia has no weight to carry and
can get involved.

GAVIN SMITH -  Numbers 2, 3 and 9 -  VIVA LE BLEU, JUST CALL ME ANGEL
& LALENA : Viva le Bleu is better than her last but could prefer Poly.
Just call me Angel could find this a touch short, but she is working
well. Laelena may still need this.

Thanks very much

Kind Regards

Nadine
