500 London Council Tenants in Coronavirus Trap!

500 TERRIFIED TENANTS LIVING IN FEAR DISINFECT COUNCIL BLOCK AS CORONAVIRUS SWEEPS CRAMPED TOWER
TERRIFIED council tenants told of their fear last night after deadly Covid-19 swept through a cramped housing estate holding 500 people.
Dozens of neighbours living in the flats in Wapping, East London, have been struck down by symptoms after a man died from coronavirus on Saturday.
Emergency crews wearing white protective haz-mat suits later arrived to take his body away as his widow sobbed alone in isolation.
And one local told The Sun: “No one feels safe. At least ten people on my landing are ill and there’s no one to help. We feel abandoned.”
The outbreak hit last week in the main block of Barnado Gardens, which houses 200 people.
The estate is run by social housing charity Tower Hamlets Community Housing.
The man, named locally as Shahid Miah, 43, is thought to have died in the early hours of Saturday before 999 crews arrived.
One neighbour said: “I could hear his widow crying in agony through the night.
“They did not have children and she’s all alone.
