THESE STATES HAVE ZERO CORONAVIRUS CASES IN NIGERIA

These States Have Zero COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria


As at Wednesday, April 22, 9pm (local time) these states have recorded zero cases of the coronavirus as Nigeria increases its low testing capacity amid a steady rise of cases of the deadly viruBayelsa, Cross River, Ebonyi, Imo, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara.

Nigeria has 36 states with 26 of the states reporting at least one confirmed case. Lagos remains the epicenter with 430 confirmed cases followed by the federal capital territory (FCT) with 118 cases and Kano, the second most populous state in the country, reporting 73 cases.

According to data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Tuesday night, Nigeria has a total tally of 782 confirmed cases with 197 recoveries and 25 deaths.

The NCDC has conducted a meager 7153 tests as at April 17, 2020. The population of the country is estimated to be around 200m. Lagos’ population figure stands at about 21 million.
