DSS Declares Sunday Igboho Wanted

Peter Afunnaya, Public Relations Officer of SSS, told journalists in Abuja that Igboho’s residence was raided bases on intelligence reports that he was stockpiling arms.

According to Afunnaya, the team was attacked by Igboho’s men on reaching the residence which led to a shoot out which led to the death of two of Igboho’s boys being gunned down and many others injured.

He stated further that the gun duel which lasted for an hour offered Igboho the chance to escape. He however advised him to turn himself in at the nearest security agency.

According to Afunnaya, the following arms were recovered from Igboho’s residence after a thorough search:
Seven AK-47 assault rifles;
Three Pump Action guns;
Thirty (30) fully charged AK-47 magazines;
Five Thousand (5,000) rounds of 7.62mm ammunition;
Five Cutlasses, One Jack knife, One Pen Knife
Two Pistol holsters;
One binoculars
A wallet containing Five (5) US Dollars in one (1) Dollar denomination; local and International driver’s licences in his name, ATM Cards, a German residence permit No. YO2N6K1NY bearing his name;
Two whistles;
Fifty Cartridges;
Eighteen (18) Walkie-Talkies;
Three Voodoo charm jackets/traditional body armour;
Two (2) Laptops (One (1) Toshiba and One (1) Compaq); and
His International Passport and those of many others (as displayed here).

Further exploitation and forensic analysis are ongoing.

Aside the items recovered from the building, about 13 suspects including 12 males and one female were arrested and brought to Abuja. While one suspect is being profiled, the other 12 paraded here are:
